Magical Mystery Man
This is the first of Colleen and Charles Segal's fun-filled musical plays for the whole family. A brother and sister, Reeve and Melanie, are bored and tired of being grounded. They make a wish for a different life and they are whisked off by the Magical Mystery Man and his crew on a whirlwind fantasy tour that includes the Past and the Future. In the end the siblings agree that home is the best place.
Segal musicals are especially designed to suit school and amateur theatres that want a positive, uplifting message for their shows. Directors find casting and rehearsals easy to manage because of the separation of the age-appropriate scenes, which do not overlap, allowing classes or groups to rehearse separately with only one or two full run-through rehearsals necessary. Magical Mystery Musical has been produced in over 100 Elementary and Middle schools world-wide. Cast size can vary from 20 to 500 performers. There are ensemble scenes for younger students and lead roles for the older students.
